Online Course Community Update
In this post I am going to go through my Online Course Community updates since it opened in July of 2021.
There have been quite a few changes inside the Online Course Resource Insiders community. Creating this community is a joint effort between me and my community members.
After all, I am building this space for them.
When I first decided to create a community of online course creators, I had to do a lot of brainstorming on what I wanted my community to be.
I knew I wanted to create a safe space for online course creators to ask questions and get feedback. I also knew I wanted them to be able to connect with other course creators and get ideas from them.
That is what a community is all about.
Resources For Online Course Creators
One of the main thing I knew I was going to include in my community was resources. I had several to start with that I was selling before.
These included things like checklists and templates that course creators could use to save time when building their online courses.
As I got to know my members and found out what they needed help with, I was able to add even more resources. That is something I plan to continue with. Each member influences what resources I create for them.
Are you ready to create your online course?
Take The 5-Day Mini Course Challenge.
I will walk you step-by-step through the process of creating a mini course that you can use to…
- Drive Leads To Your Main Course
- Build An Email List To Sell To Later
- Sell As A Low-Cost Product Right Away
Are you ready?
Monthly Challenges To Build Skills
Each and every month there is a new challenge to help course creators build the skills they need to create online courses. The first month was the mini course challenge which is also a free challenge anyone can join by clicking the picture above.
After the first month we had the lead magnet challenge and the email sequence challenge. These are both skills course creators need to market and sell an online course.
The challenges remain up so any new members can go in and do them at their own pace. They can still ask questions in the comments below each challenge post and I will be more than happy to help.
I already have next months planned and ready to launch on the first of the month. I get super excited about helping my members build their skills.
Weekly Goal Setting
Probably one of the biggest requests my members had was some sort of accountability. Because we are located in different time zones all over the world, we are doing a weekly goal setting post.
Each Sunday evening Texas Time I post the weekly goal setting post.
- Did you achieve your goal for last week?
- What problems did you run in to?
- What are your goals for this week?
- What tasks will you be performing to get there?
This also includes a PDF download for helping your figure out your goal for the week and the tasks you are going to be doing.
Members jump in and talk about what they are working on, share their frustrations, questions and their wins for the week.
We also share anything we thing will help the other members. That could be a blog post, a software recommendation, and even ask for feedback and referrals.
Looking For A Little Extra Help?
There is a place where online course creators can go to get the help they need while working on their online course. We call it the Insider’s Community.
If you are looking for a supportive community to stand by you, encourage you and help you through the process of creating online courses, click the picture above and join us. Lifting each other up is what we do best.
