Online course creation is a daunting task. There are many moving parts and many assets to create.

Besides all the online course content you are creating, you also have a lot of marketing materials.

Create Worksheets In Canva

Most online courses come with some kind of worksheet, checklist or other download.

Students have come to expect this as part of an online course. This has become a common part of eLearning today.

In fact, there are a particular type of learner that learns better when they can read or write something. They are the ‘R’ in the VARK 4 learning types.

But, let me back up and not go down the rabbit hole of the psychology of learning.

Let me instead suggest to you that you include some type of worksheet in your online course.

This could be…

  • Worksheet
  • Workbook
  • Checklist
  • Syllabus/Roadmap

Here is a video that shows you how to make those easily in Canva.

Create Video Ads In Canva

If you are an online course creator, then you know that videos can be a great way to engage your audience. It is important to produce video content for all of your courses and even the individual modules within those courses. This is a given when it comes to online course creation.

You are also going to need to market your online course. What better way to do that than to use video ads. Video ads are captivating and a great way to show off your online course. Canva software is an easy-to-use video ad creator that works on many social media platforms.

Canva is not something I recommend for full scale video editing.

Canva is a video maker not a video editor. There is a difference.

You will want to keep your video ads short and eye-catching.

These have the best chance at grabbing the attention of your audience as they scroll through social media.

Here is a video I created showing you how to create video ads on Canva.

Create Presentations In Canva

Presentations and slide shows are the backbone of most online courses.

They are used in the webinars leading up to the launch of the online course.

They are used in live workshops and at events.

Presentations are even used as the primary graphics in the videos created for online courses.

You can create your presentation slides in many ways. This includes…

  • PowerPoint
  • Google Slides
  • Keynote
  • And of course in Canva

There are many benefits to creating your presentation in Canva.

This includes being able to share that slide show directly in Canva, no download required.

You can add your presentation notes directly in Canva as well.

You can go in and update the slides at any time without having to recreate the entire slide deck.

Let me show you.

Since the release of this video ☝️, Canva has taken things up a notch.

They are always improving and adding new things.

They now have it so you can add external audio and even record your presentations and download them as a video.

This is game changing for online course creators.

I did another video about this, but sadly it is already out of date as well.

You can do everything in this video and more.

In conclusion, Canva is the tool I most recommend to online course creators.

It can help you do the bulk of your work quickly and has wonderful templates to help you with all your graphic design needs.

I did not even get into creating all the normal things like video thumbnails to make your videos look great, book covers for your workbooks and all the social media graphics for your marketing.
